In this case the 2.1 release of UCSM takes a product that many people already have (Unified Computing System) and makes it do more. There aren’t going to be press conferences about this, but it is worth taking a closer look at. It will make my life easier, and I hope it does the same for you.

There are many reasons for this rapid transformation from interesting project to cloud standard. In my belief the primary reason is that the major networking and systems hardware manufacturers have figured out that by supporting the development of OpenStack that now have a way to fight back against Amazon and EC2.
